Bastille Day in Old Town Chicago, Sunday July 14!

To celebrate Old Town's twinning with Montmartre, Paris, Old Town Merchants and Residents Association & Old Town Triangle Association are  planning and encouraging events throughout the neighborhood! Pick up your Bastille Day "passport" at OTTA or the OTMRA stand to mark off at participating locations!

Be transported to Montmartre by the marvelous Paris-born cabaret singer Claudia Hommel and her accordionist Sam Hyson as they regale you with songs of Paris in French and English​​

​Become a French spy with invisible ink messages, create a catapult, decorate a twinkling Eiffel Tower, construct a sun-catcher inspired by stained glass windows, and make buttons with iconic French symbols like pastries, berets, famous buildings, and more!

Join us for a free screening of Ratatouille at 8:30 in Ella Jenkins Park. Film will be shown inside Church of the Three Crosses if inclement weather. Bring your snacks, chairs or blankets, and friends!

 

There will be an Accordion Performance and Face Painting starting at 7:30pm.
